About the Owners
The Owners, Maryann Gathu, RN, and her husband, David Gathu, CNA, manage the home and live in the neighborhood. Maryann is a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse with 15 years of work and business experience in a nursing home and retirement facilities as a wellness and behavioral health nurse in the hospital and adult family home. She has the proven ability to provide direct patient care in a fast-paced environment. She is calm and level-headed with the ability to handle difficult residents and high-stress situations.
David and Maryann are friendly and have an extremely positive attitude. They will work with the family and residents to meet their needs. The home is staffed 24 hours per day with caregivers to attend to the residents. The staff is certified and licensed as CNAs or HCAs, with specialty training in dementia and mental health.

Our Care Provider
The provider is an RN with 15+ years of extensive Nursing and Caregiving experience, working in Long-Term Care Facilities, Nursing Homes, Assisted Living Facilities, Home Health Care, Hospice Care, and Behavioral Health.
She also has the following training relevant to providing care:
- Adult Family Home Administrator Training
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Manager, Dementia Specialty Training
- Manager, Mental Health Specialty Training
- Developmental Disability Specialty Training
- Current Food Handlers Permit
Maryann and David manage the home and make the general care management decisions, as well as being responsible for the overall operations of the home.
Our caregivers are well-trained, qualified, and will make daily general decisions regarding personal care services in the absence of the Provider and the Manager.
